A: WiFi baby monitors connect to the internet and can be accessed remotely — which also means they can potentially be hacked. The HelloBaby uses a dedicated FHSS encrypted signal that only communicates between the cameras and your parent unit, with no internet exposure whatsoever.

Q: Can I add a third camera later?

A: Yes. The HelloBaby system supports additional cameras (sold separately) that can be paired to the same parent unit and viewed on the split screen display.

Q: What is the actual range?

A: Up to 1,000 feet in open air. In a typical home with walls, expect reliable coverage throughout a standard house. The FHSS signal is designed to penetrate walls effectively.

Q: Does it record video?

A: The HelloBaby monitor is a live-view system and does not record or store video. This is by design — no recordings means no stored footage that could be accessed or leaked.

Q: How does VOX mode work?

A: VOX (Voice Activated) mode keeps the parent unit screen off to save battery. When the camera detects sound above a set threshold, the screen automatically turns on so you can see what’s happening.

Q: Can both parents use the monitor simultaneously?
